Utrecht Ballroom Scene Voguing classes

More info & tickets

Voguing emerged from the ballroom culture of Harlem, New York, between the 1960s and 1980s. The Black and Latino LGBTQ community created this scene as a safe space to express themselves freely and find a sense of belonging.

New to Voguing? That’s exactly what these classes are for. Come watch, join in, and experience what ballroom has to offer.

Class Styles

Vogue Fem was developed by trans women within the ballroom community. The category centers femininity and consists of five elements: catwalk, duckwalk, floor performance, hands, and spins & dips. This class is taught by Typhoon.

Old Way is one of the three main categories of Voguing and the original style, characterised by lines, symmetry, and shapes inspired by fashion poses, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and martial arts. This class is taught by Suzume 007.
